International meeting and exchange of experience

The meeting of the international Solar Keymark Network focused on topics such as the support of the Global Solar Certification Network and the ISO Technical Committee on Solar Energy, as well as establishing and promoting higher ISO standards and enhanced certification schemes. Participants actively support the continuous improvement of the Solar Keymark scheme procedures. The international meeting in Madrid also served as an ideal platform to exchange experience and information.

Robert Buchinger and Markus Barek have been DIN CERTCO-accredited auditors for Solar Keymark certifications since December 2011. These activities involve factory inspections and audits on the basis of all the relevant standards and guidelines. Thus, the Sunlumo partners are part of a select international group of independent auditors.

Audits are based on the relevant European standard. Manufacturers of solar collectors need to demonstrate compliance with minimum quality management requirements. Auditing of the manufacturing process takes place on a regular basis. Audit results are transparent and published at www.solarkeymark.org. The quality mark is valid throughout Europe as well as in countries such as China or India.
